Reasons and treatment methods for valve not being closed tightly

Time : 2023-01-06 Hits : 6

In the process of using the valve, there are often some puzzling problems, such as the valve can not be closed tightly. What should we do?

In general, if it is not closed tightly, first check whether the valve is closed in place. If it is closed in place, there is still leakage and can not be sealed, then check the sealing surface. If the sealing pair of some valves is removable, then take it out for grinding and retesting. Of course, if it is still not closed tightly, it must be returned to the factory for maintenance or replacement, So as not to affect the normal use of the valve and the occurrence of accidents under working conditions.

If the valve is not closed tightly, first find out where the problem occurs, and then solve it according to the corresponding methods. There are several reasons why the valve cannot be closed tightly:

(1) Impurities are stuck on the sealing surface and deposited at the bottom of the valve or between the valve clack and valve seat;

(2) The valve rod thread is rusted and the valve cannot rotate;

(3) The sealing surface of the valve is damaged, causing medium leakage;

(4) The connection between the valve rod and the valve disc is not good, so that the valve disc and the valve seat can not be closely contacted due to deflection.

Treatment method for untight valve closing

1.The valve sealing surface is stuck by impurities

Sometimes the valve cannot be closed tightly suddenly, which may be caused by impurities stuck between the sealing surfaces of the valve. At this time, the valve should not be closed forcefully. The valve should be opened slightly, and then tried to close again. Generally, it can be eliminated by repeated attempts. Otherwise, it should be checked and the quality of the medium should be kept clean.

2.Embroidery of valve rod thread

For the valve normally in the open state, when it is closed occasionally, the valve rod thread has rusted, and the valve cannot be closed tightly. In this case, the valve can be opened and closed several times, and the bottom of the valve body can be knocked with a small hammer at the same time, so that the valve can be closed tightly without grinding and repairing the valve.

3.The valve sealing surface is damaged

If the switch cannot be closed after several attempts, the sealing surface has been damaged and should be reported for repair; Or the sealing surface is damaged by corrosion, particle scratch in the medium, etc., which should also be reported for repair.

4.The connection between valve rod and disc is not good

Add lubricating oil to the valve rod and valve rod nut frequently to ensure the flexibility of valve opening and closing. There should be a formal maintenance plan.
